The Ligue 1 round 32 match between Lille and Nice ended with a convincing 3-0 victory for the home team. Despite being down to ten men for much of the second half, Lille managed to hold on and secure all three points.
The match was a closely contested affair throughout, with both teams creating chances but failing to convert them into goals. However, it was Lille who ultimately came out on top, thanks in large part to their solid defense.
Despite being behind early on, Lille fought back and took the lead through a well-taken goal from midfielder Kevin Volland. The Dutchman's shot found the bottom corner and gave Lille the perfect start to the second half.
Nice were able to level the scoreline just before the hour mark through a header from forward Youssouf Fofana. However, Lille quickly regained the lead through another goal from Volland, this time from a free-kick that found the back of the net.
The final whistle blew shortly after and Lille left Stade de la Mosson with all three points, while Nice will now be looking to bounce back against Reims next week. With only two points separating the two sides, there is still plenty at stake in the remaining fixtures.
