Changchun Yatai and Shenhua drew in their home match in the Chinese Super League (CSBL) on Sunday. The game was played at Changchun's Taishan Stadium.
The match started with both teams trying to take control of the game from the beginning, but it was Changchun who had the first chance after just two minutes when a cross into the box was headed wide by a Yatai player. However, Shenhua soon equalized through a goal scored by striker Zhang Pengyu in the 22nd minute.
In the second half, Shenhua continued to press for the win, but they were unable to break down Changchun's defense. In the 67th minute, Changchun midfielder Li Xiangjie scored his side's only goal of the game, which was a powerful shot that beat Shenhua goalkeeper Wang Zhenjian in the bottom corner.
Despite losing the match, Changchun Yatai coach Liu Weiping praised his players' effort and said that they will continue to work hard to improve their performance in the future. Meanwhile, Shenhua coach Huang Donghai also expressed disappointment with his team's result and vowed to do better in the upcoming matches.
